Any HR Folk out there ?

Hi, last week i posted a thread about switching from Secretary to Paralegal. I got some really good advice from one nice lady !
I just want a little more feedback, if possible.
Considering that I have 7 1/2 years of legal experience, if I were to switch from Secretary to Paralegal, do I stand a chance of getting a job as a Para ? Would my 7 1/2 years of legal experience go into consideration for my salary ?
