I'd like to have a big ol' bag of chocolate-covered espresso beans for an upcoming road trip, but I'm not quite sure where to start looking. Coffee shops? Markets? Wal-Mart? Coffee Beans R Us? Anybody know anyplace that regularly stocks these? (Extra points if it's in or near Steele Creek!)

Starbucks sells them but not in the "big ol' bag" size.

Trader Joes has excellent chocolate-covered espresso beans in a nice-sized container AND they have something else called espresso pillows which are sold in little tins - chocolate-covered espresso with toffee bits. So much yum. (or had, it's been a while since I bought them, and TJ's has a habit of discontinuing items, not sure if they still have them.) I don't know if there's a Trader Joes out your way.

Fresh Market has a bag-your-own, pay-by-weight candy aisle with a nice selection, pretty sure I've gotten chocolate-covered espresso beans there.

Cool. Google tells me there's a Fresh Market about 20 minutes from me, and a Trader Joe's 5 minutes past that. I'll check it out - thanks!

Good fall-back plan though -- a bunch of wee bags would get the job done. The Starbucks in the Teeter by my place doesn't sell them though - I'll have to check one of the full Starbuckses if it comes to that. Thanks!

I was going to suggest Trader Joes as well, but if you want to stick close to home I think I've seen them at Target. They are in the candy aisle, I believe, near the good stuff. I don't think they would sell much there, so check the package for freshness!

I've gotten them at Earthfare before. No idea how they compare to Trader Joes', though.

I ended up going to Trader Joe's. They had 14oz containers for $4.49. They looked so nice I bought three. !
They should be perfect to keep by my side for a looong drive to Detroit. Thanks for all the help!

Uh oh. Now I'm going to have to stop by TJ's for something else not good for me.
