Anyone have suggestions on the best places to buy bulk foods in the greater Charlotte area for long-term storage? The foods would include various types of beans, lentils, rice, etc.

Beans, lentils, and rice can be purchased in bulk fairly inexpensively at Patel's Indian Store in Pineville or any other Indian grocer in the area. There more on South Boulevard and at Williamson Road, Mooresville, on the lake.

You may also want to check at the Asian grocers which are huge and carry everything. They are on the corner of Tryon and Sugarcreek Road, Independence Blvd at Margaret Wallace I think, and a really nice one in Matthews. They also have fresh fish markets.

Also, there is also Cosco, BJ's, Sams, etc. I am not sure about bulk lentils there though.

I agree! Especially the one in Davidson. Good fresh organic/local vegetables, too.

You don't work for one of the banks do you? Lol.

I think I saw a place in Matthews when I was in a cab last week. I'll Google it.
