Hello all. I'm a month and a half out from my wedding and every review I read is negative about local alterations/tailors and I'm terrified at this point. The only good one I could find was Myers Park Tailors, which all reviews kindly pointed out weren't exactly 'affordable'. I do realize you get what you pay for, though.

So... does anyone have a tailor that they have used for formal gowns or wedding dresses? Davids Bridal had horrible reviews as well. I don't really want to have 'someone' do it, because I need the assurance that I can hold a company accountable should my dress be ruined (stained, too short, ripped, etc).

I need this like yesterday so all opinions welcome. And if you know someone I should absolutely NOT go to, that is helpful too!! Something in south Charlotte OR Union County would be awesoome!

Thanks!

I got my wedding dress at Dar-Lynns Bridal in Matthews and the tailor they have there was wonderful. I only paid 250 for my alterations and I had a huge ballgown that had to be taken up and a jeweled shoulder piece that had to be altered. She is fast and professional.

Do you know if they will alter a dress bought elsewhere?
