I think it is an excellent piece of work, but it bothered me that no Republicans are in that film. Only Democrats. Why Hunt and not Martin? Why Gantt and not McCrory, too?
I have to assume, since it started with "We went after this convention" that it is some kind of follow up to the DNC being here? It emphasizes "diversity" so am I right to assume the target audience is African Americans?
Other than that (DEMS only) . . . I think it is a beautifully produced piece.

Ani, it seemed to me that it might be aimed at attracting black-owned businesses, which is fine. It seems to hammer home that racial relations are good. I could be wrong, but with no preconceived notions, that's what I got from it. That's why I asked what I asked.
The single best promotional ad that I ever saw for anywhere was the Kevin Bacon ad in the Philadelphia Loves You Back campaign, years ago. I can't find it anywhere but that campaign & the Pure Michigan campaign were held up as shining examples in something that I did find. http://c526532.r32.cf0.rackcdn.com/T...al-Version.pdf The only example from that campaign that was posted was the Ken Burns ad, which I recall as the weakest of the campaign.
I do think that this piece is very well executed & very good. I just wondered if the purpose was what I got from it.

It's a Democratic Convention-sponsored video. The "We Make it Possible" slogan is an inversion of the GOP's "We Built It" theme, which took Obama's words out of context. Listen to Hunt's comments starting at the 4:00-4:15 mark.

I had seen that Kevin Bacon piece = and the Michigan pieces. Don't remember the Ken Burns ad.
Yes, it appears it is geared to entice black business owners to relocate. So who is paying for this?
