Default furniture-best & middle of the road

Trying to buy some good furniture (I know good is relative).

Which brands are high end and middle of the road ones?

What about Bassett or Broyhill ?

If you can get to Carolina Place Parkway which is by the Carolina Place mall, you will find many furniture stores to browse and look through.

I have a Bassett Bedroom set since 1999 and it is well made still perfect. However, I purchased it on line. I would buy the brand again in a heartbeat.

Furniture has changed a lot in the past few years. The Bassett bedroom furniture in 1999 was probably made in the USA, now I would highly doubt that it is. I'm not saying Bassett isn't a good brand, but realize that most of the furniture comes from China now you can pay $2000 for a Bassett piece and $1200 for the exact same piece from Rooms To Go.

Jake has hit nail on the head. I prefer made in usa furniture; For the same reason, I got jackson furniture (catnapper that they advertise as made in usa) from waxhaw outlet. Well what I paid is a different story - I could have got the same piece for quite less on the internet

I haven't been in there yet, but there's a huge furniture outlet on 115 in Mooresville called Merino's. They supposedly have alot of brand names in there. They also have a Boyle's Furniture Outlet attached.

I have been to Brawley's Furniture Warehouse in Mooresville, just up the road a bit on the other side of the rr tracks. I got a gorgeous leather sofa & loveseat by Bassett for about a 3rd of what I would have paid for it at Bassett itself. It looks like a hole in the wall & it's a hit or miss place, but you can order anything made by Bassett & several other companies from them.

Why not check out the used furniture in the consignment shops. The Clearing House has nice pieces. No affiliation. Clearing House
I'm sure there are other nice shops in the area, but Clearing House definitely carries the better furniture.

it came directly from the factory and made in the USA. The internet is not always filled with made in china.
