Indeed. You know, I wonder why they didn't stick with their established upscale name & logo, HT Traders? That might have gone over a lot better than this. Maybe they feared a lawsuit from Trader Joes.

My son has guitar lessons on Monday evening in Wesley Chapel and I drove by the location today. They are working on it, the inside still has a long way to go. My son said he saw round couches inside and chairs. I should have stopped and asked the men that were working if they had any information. If I see someone there next week, I will. I think the concept is really good. Too bad they aren't putting a Barnes and Noble in the same shopping center. Something about the looks of the store, brought that to mind. A good book, a glass of wine. Ahhh.

Considering the historical relevance for HT, the name is good, but the visual branding (judging from that image alone) is neither well-designed nor fitting for the store IMO.

Agreed. It looks a bit generic.

I should probably add that considering it's HT, and people generally don't notice or care about these things, the store(s) will still be wildly successful.

That would be me. I could care less how a store looks or how its logo looks.

The wife and I will check out the store. I doubt we'll shop their on a weekly or even monthly basis.

I can't imagine HT implementing the logo without focus groups and reviews, so I am sure they are putting out a logo that has been researched - I was just commenting that to me, it looks generic. Doesn't mean I won't shop there and doesn't mean it wont be successful, just my opinion.

So you do care, then?

A bad visual identity won't keep me from shopping somewhere, but I can appreciate good branding.
