For a subdivision- does anyone know a rough ballpark figure for what an annual landscaping contract would cost? The subdivision common area they would take care of totals around 1.25 acres

There is no irrigation system. Just trees, bushes, and grass.

The HOA claims they can't get a better deal on the contract, but we feel it is too much for what needs to be tended to....but I also don't have any prior experience shopping around.

Seems to me the only way to know if someone will give them a better deal is to have the contract bid out.

I know an HOA with 1.5 acres of common areas... they used to pay a large landscape company that wasn't doing it's job correctly around $3,000 a month

they found an insured and licensed guy to do it for $1,050 a month with ala carte pine needles etc
