Its no secret that over the last decade or so, more and more people have been coming into Charlotte from abroad.

Which neighborhoods in Charlotte are they settling into?

And do you think it is good for Charlotte as a whole?

I don't think they are all settling in specific "neighborhoods", just general areas.

Anyone moving to Charlotte that shows up with a good attitude toward their new home town, a willingness to contribute to the community and a strong work ethic is more than welcome in my opinion

Immigration isn't an entirely new thing here. It's a good thing for Charlotte, makes the city more interesting and vibrant, but the immigrant communities can fall prey to criminals because of a distrust of police and a tendency to carry cash.

Central Avenue from Briar Creek to Sharon Amity has a good mix of Vietnamese and Hispanic immigrants. Mostly Hispanic east of Eastway. A lot of Hispanics also up Eastway to about the Plaza but it's mostly native blacks on Eastway past Sugar Creek and a mix of native blacks and whites on Shamrock Drive.
There is another concentration of Hispanic immigrants around North Tryon from Eastway to Tom Hunter.
South Boulevard from Tyvola to Archdale and slightly further South has a large concentration of Central American immigrants.
There is a mix in the University area with concentrations from all over (mostly students) as well as a lot of middle-class Indian families. There are also pockets of Somali and Carribean immigrants in University but they are much fewer in number (Though every cab driver I've had in this city seems to be from Ethiopia).
