Just moved into my newly constructed house and due to the “drought” I have no grass. I thought that I should make the best of this situation and have a patio constructed. I have been thinking about doing a “stamp concrete” patio such at the ones in the following link.

stamp concrete - Google Image Search

Can anyone recommend a contractor in the local area and what is the average cost (per square foot) should I expect to have to pay. Also has anyone done their own stamp concrete project and if so, how difficult is it to do?

I got 3 or 4 estimates. Went with Dunlap Brothers Concrete and they did a great job. I love it! Don't know what area you are in, but you can call to see if they work your area. I'm at LKN.

Thanks for replying to my post. I'm in the Mount Holly area (Gaston County). Do you have pictures of the work you had done? What should I except as a general price by sq ft when getting an estimate so I know if my estimates are too high?
