That's interesting. A guy from Kings Mountain had some in Gaston County & was arrested along with an employee or two.

a friend of mine is waiting for one to close in downtown KM, as she is wanting to open a small bakery in that spot. You may know where I am talking about.
There are dubbed "internet cafes", or "lucky sweepstakes" or maybe "phone card sweepstakes". They sit in a lot of the back rooms of convenience stores etc...

The machines are everywhere. They look suspiciously like video poker & in fact are a way to get around video poker being illegal. Some places will have 2 or 3 machines & then there are the sweepstakes parlors (& a couple of other code names are used)
