This area does not have an official name though I have heard it referred to as Pilot Knob and Hagar's Ferry and Westport. In the 80's when they were selling out the lake front property there, the agents often referred to it as Westport.
This is why most simply refer to it as Denver.

I know some Denver people that get quite serious about the true location of Denver. I think you mentioned earlier that the true Denver is much more countified. It really is. But, the future potential is still there.

Haha, I've had pizza there before. IMO, this place isn't going to change much over the next 5 years from where it has been over the last 5 years. Maybe the Apple facility might have an impact but it seems to me that Lincolnton and Newton might be better poised to take advantage of that.

I was able to find a map of the new bypass... interesting news if accurate.
1,500 homes for "active seniors"? I'm not certain that's the group you'll want as the foundation of the area. heh
The Crescent project in the "Terrell-Sherrills Ford area" seems interesting... Pretty sure they developed the Point and Farms in Mooresville? Very nice developments.

I was told that the Crescent project in Terrell-Sherrils Ford is on hold, if not cancelled due to Crescent having financial problems.

Really? Seniors living around the lake have $$$$, so it's a good thing....they like to spend, which boosts the economy.
I predict when 16 is completed, we'll see a huge growth spurt.
It has grown alot in the past 5 years...it's creeping up E. 73 to the VFD already.

I think seniors would be great! Most are not in need of employment, that means their houses won't be foreclosed on because of job loss. Most are not drug addicts and won't be causing problems in the community. They don't have children in school, so no additional resources will be needed and they still pay school taxes(more money for the schools). I think seniors are the perfect addition to any community.

I'm not knocking seniors - would never do that... I too believe they are a good addition, just not a foundation. 1,500 homes is the largest development in Lincoln county according to the article and it will all be seniors. Although some of them will spend for sure, I can't imagine that folks on fixed incomes are going to boom the local economy there... sure they'll pay their bills and patronize the restaurants, but it won't be a growth spurt based on them. You need the young families with kids - minus the drug addicts. =P
A shame if that Crescent project doesn't happen.
