Its just disgusting that even a single crime takes place.. but more than these criminals its our 'it's always happening, what can we do about it' attitude that's dangerous!

I have been a victim of house theft! and it was not funny!
Truth is that we can't do anything about it. It is not our responsibility any more. The legal system has failed. Parents have failed. Inner city churches have failed. There have been solutions for decades, but they don't work. It is up to the people that live amongst high crime areas to fight it. If they don't handle it, it is their fault. They have been blaming everyone else too long. You think that we can change attitudes. LOL!! It takes a strong, caring mother or a strong supportive father to control how kids grow up. Obviously, there is a sever shortage. Not my problem! The government system of spend, spend, spend in those communities doesn't help. Are you listening Mayor Fox?

I don't think it is funny that you were robbed or burglared. I got robbed at gunpoint in Jacksonville, NC so I know what it is like. Was just trying to make a point in a funny way. Crime has always happened is always going to happen. Short of joining the police force, not sure what I can do about it.

Part of the issue is how data is collected and coded. Then, after the numbers are cooked, we get a report. In Chief's early days, a lot changed in the way officers had to report calls and cases. The result was a glowing picture. The cooking can only be kept up so long over a period of time before the pot boils over and the numbers don't look so good. The latest report is an example.

Crime is up, but accountability is down; just spend a few hours or days over a period of time attending bond hearings in courtroom 1150 at the Meck Co Courthouse. Don't eat before you go because there's a chance you would lose your cookies.

My sarcasm detector is off the charts! My idiot "friend" left the motel room door unlocked so the fellas just walked in, easy as you please.
