Did you catch it?

In last night’s episode of South Park (Obama Wins!, season 16, episode 14), the Charlotte skyline is featured for a moment as Cartman stops by to … well, I’ll let you watch it for yourself.

I think this is what they call The Big Leagues.

Ha! That's awesome. Good to see the city getting recognition. This week I took my brother to the explosion scene site for the show 'Homeland' in Myers Park.

This episode will be repeated on Comedy Central tonight (Friday) at 10pm. Might also be available On-Demand?

Looking forward to seeing it.

It was only a 10 second screen shot of the skyline and it didn't even mention Charlotte by name except for the poll scene, just flashed "North Carolina" across the screen. It did the same for Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, and Nevada. The great thing about that episode is they had to have had it written before the election was decided. It could have gone either way. Did anyone see their depiction of Romney? Priceless!

This isn't the first time Charlotte has been mentioned by South Park.

Some years ago they made fun of Charlotte, saying the name had been changed to Charlotte from "Hitler City". I have no idea what that means.

Nevermind, just remembered that was the Simpsons...

Can't find a link, but it's in the episode "Bart Mangled Banner" when Bart moons the flag and Springfield has an image problem because of it.

Mayor Quimby says that people used to hate Charlotte before we changed our name from Hitler City.
