Hi All,

We recently bought a home (still under construction). It will be complete early 2013. I am very keen on having a vegetable garden in the backyard. But much of it is at a very high slope. See attached picture below.

I am thinking about making 2 step terraces - each of about 15-18" high. I am planning on using the stone from lowes.

I would like to hear some good ways of putting this together (without spending a ton of money).
Anything would help - ideas, links, examples, reading material, personal experiences etc... (I am already doing lot of reading on google)

Eventually my idea is to utilize the area for some kind of SFG (square foot garden).
