A carpenter/cabinet maker in Locust? (Charlotte, Albemarle: home, cabinets, live)

Does anyone know of a carpenter/cabinet maker named Rick in Locust. NC? He has a shop on the property where he lives.

I'm very familiar with this area, but we'll need a little more info than this.

Do you know anything more?

There's Efird's on Renee Ford Rd which is one of the most reputable cabinetry shops in the whole Charlotte area...and there's another on Hwy 200 in Stanfield (very close to Locust.)

Love to help, but about every other person in Locust is named 'Rick'.

Thanks for answering my post. I'm very sorry to say that i have no more info than I first gave. This fellow, built some cabinets for me about four years ago and unfortunately I have misplaced his name. I was very pleased with his work and would like to hire him again. I visited his shop once before I hired him but remember very little about precisely where it was. All that I remember was that he was a fellow in his fifties, lived in a small home on the same property as his shop and had one fellow working with him. He also worked with at least one homebuilder near Cornelius or Harrisburg. To get to his place I drove out Albemarle Road (Hwy 27) about 20-25 miles. I didn't go into the town of Locust but turned to my right before reaching it and traveled a short distance to his shop. So that's it. I'd love it if this rings a bell for someone.

I have found the last name; it's Rick Helms.

i have no idea whether he still does this type of work or even whether he still lives in the area.

Thanks, Alpha. I hadn't forgotten the thread - just couldn't locate the name. Then one day as I was cleaning out my file cabinet, there it was carefully labeled "Cabinet Makers"
