Default Best Area for Recent grads?

My fiance and I are moving to Charlotte in December, following our graduation. We're not from NC and don't know which areas of town would be good to rent an apartment in. Any advice for where some people in their 20s should live?
thanks!
lpc

That is a good area! Also, I know a lot of people that age in the Gateway area of uptown, particularly on Cedar Street. Several great apartments there, and you are in walking distance to several great nightspots.
