Nothing is right about their service.

Overpriced.
Under serviced
Outdated equipments
Bad customer service

I have been trying to get to customer service from last 20 minutes... The numbers keep coming busy.

This has been my experience from last 4 years.

These guys should be out of business the way they provide service. Bu because they have monopoly on service areas it's absolutely impossible to find a good alternative. Dish/directtv don't have good Internet option.

Appears to be quite a wide outage by what I'm seeing on Twitter.

TWC is the ultimate suck. But ATT isn't any better... don't know about Dish or Direct

TWC and ATT are no better than thieves. They steal money from my pocket. Every month I pay for things I don't get, and trying to get in touch with customer service is like an act of Congress.

TWC: Do you need to reach TWC Customer Service?
Me: Yes
TWC: Are you prepared to be on hold for an hour?

Message from Time Warner Cable: Customers in the Carolinas-- we are aware of an outage affecting television service in your area. You do not need to report this service issue via phone or chat, our engineers are working to restore service as quickly as possible.

I called the other evening to ask a question about my account and was greeted with an announced 25 minute hold time! Holy crap...

FYI:

"We're working hard to resolve digital video outage. Analog channels are not impacted so plug cable direct to TV for access to many channels."

This is why it is a good idea to have an OTA antenna as a back up for when the cable goes out. You will still be able to receive all of your local channels in HD, which includes ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, PBS, and CW. You will still be out of luck for the cable channels, but you will at least get the major networks and local news.

I refuse to have TW for cable service. I have them for phone and internet because, other than frontier at this time, they are the only service available in our area. I have directv and have for fifteen years and I love it. I would never go back to cable.
