Any thoughts on where I can find free or very inexpensive towels? Bath sized is probably what they need. I've gotten some from the local 'hood, but am looking for other options.

Can we donate gently used, clean bath towels? I have some that I don't really care for (color, etc.) but they have been used.

If so, where can I drop them off?

If not, I got a pretty good deal on towels at Kohl's recently with a 30% off coupon.

From their Facebook request:

We need an early holiday gift - towels! If you have any old ones hanging around we can put them to good use (we can also use gently used sheets and blankets).

If I can find bath towels for a buck, I might buy a few for them, but other than something like that I'll continue collecting used towels from the neighbors and my closets.

Their address is under "contact us":

Spay Neuter Charlotte - High-quality/low-cost spay neuter clinic

The cat they neutered for me last year is asleep on my feet as I type this.

Thanks for supporting a great group!

Ollie's? (inexpensive)

What about some of the local hotels?

I tried Ollie's website, no luck. That may take a visit.

Do you think hotels give their old towels away?

I'd collect from neighbors & coworkers, I bet most folks have older towels they'd be willing to donate.

Otherwise, the Goodwill on Freedom Dr. sells stuff by the pound - I think it's $1.39/pound, for clothing, linens, etc. I haven't looked for towels there, but they probably have some.

I dropped off a trunkful of towels earlier, then had fish tacos at Cabo Fish Taco. It's been a good day so far!

Thanks to those who PMd about donating. SNC was hugely appreciative, but said they need all the sheets, towels (any size), and pillowcases they can get. They're trying to avoid buying anything they can get donated so they can put more money towards care and S/N surgeries. They told me they average 30 a day but have done as many as 50! That's a ton of animals who won't be contributing to the population.
