This would be a good time to visit McAdenville (on I-85 between Charlotte and Gastonia). It's a cute little town that dresses up with lights and decorations during the Christmas season. It's free, but best to go during week nights. Gets crowded on weekends.

Concerts on the weekends at Birkdale too. Now you know why Markh like to takes his kids to the movies there.
Yes-- 2 Hours of uninterrupted drinking bliss. You can add another half hour if you throw in a few extra bucks for Goldstone Creamery.

Wink Discovery Place for adults to

When my wife and I visited charlotte for the first time we had bad weather so we decided to go to discovery place. We really liked it. It has a lot of hands on things to do. We also went to the IMAX. Wow that was cool but not for people who get motion sick. I was a cool experience but I would rather go to the regular movies. Are there any other museums in the area similar to this? Anyways there is also a little café brewery called rock bottoms that is just down the street from there also the food was great and it was a great price
