Default No job and renting?

I've noticed that a lot of people on this forum complain that it is difficult to get a job in Charlotte. How are these people qualifying for a rental without a job? Is an income of 3 times the rent only a requirement with property managers? My husband will only make twice the rent of places we like and I have a job that doesn't pay very much. I'm going to apply as a substitute teacher to make ends meet when we move there but are we going to have a hard time finding someone who will let us rent from them on the basis that I will have a job to make the 3 times requirement?

I recommend try working for the government, times are just going to get worse. Goverment jobs are probable the safest positions. good luck...
