I am relocating to the Charlotte area. I am currently looking for a landlord that looks at the ability to pay more than the credit score. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Would really like to live anywhere on i-85 between Charlotte and Kings Mountain. My job is in Bessemer City.

Please note that some LL's will rent to you; however, you must pay down a larger deposit. Call ahead and ask; it doesn't hurt. Do you have a job line up? If so, you may be able to present your ability to pay from a company letterhead. If you have other means to show them, let them know that as well.
Here is a link in which you can search by parameters. I rather go with option one, by calling LL's directly.

Stick to renting from LLs who are not part of a corporation. IMO, checking a credit score is a waste of time as I have no interest in bankster formulas used to qualify individuals. (if they were any good we would not have had the mortgage crisis)
