I need to buy a large standing rib roast to rotisserie next week. Any recommendations on best butcher? I was told New York Butcher Shoppe near Myers Park was very good but I called number (980) area code and it is non working #. I'm familiar w/Meat House chain and WhatsyourBeef. It seemed like NY Butcher was better but I wonder if they moved or closed, anyone been there recently?

Fresh Market on Pineville-Mathews or Whatsyourbeef would be my choices.

What's Your Beef butcher in Ballantyne or the Meat House off Rea Road are the two that I like best.

Is there a reason you don't want to use TMH or WYB? The Morrocroft HT has dry aged rib roasts.

"What's Your Beef" in Ballantyne is a great butcher shop. The Meat House is simply a store that sells meat. There is a BIG difference. You can call ahead and they wil have everything ready for you. BTW they make great fresh Italian sausage and meatballs. They will even talk to you about what you feed your pet and make you fresh dog food!!! I hope you like it.

Earthfare was sending out a $10 coupon for an organic standing rib roast a few weeks ago so they must have them. You might want to check with them as well. Their meat is very high quality.

Fresh Market on Providence Road. Fresh and made to order - so to speak.

Fresh Market. We went in for pork belly and they went in the back and butchered a fresh cut for us on the spot.
