It took me a minute to think why this is different than just back in a parking spot then title hit me the lines are going the opposite direction than what one is used to.
Now the idiots who drive in parking lots when spaces are angle for straight pull in on both sides will say I was um going to back in.
I had so many close calls especially Wally World shoppers create dangerous parking lots.
I do see a problem arising with these reverse street parking is big SUV's dont back far enough and there front in sticks out to far.
What streets have this already been implemented on?

There's an article in CO that I didn't bring up but they were looking at Commonwealth Avenue between Pecan Street and The Plaza.
I dont like it because it will help the people who have "undocumented tags" hide them from the police that may ride by. I want the tags to be seen easily.
This will be the problem. Look at the yellow car in the brochure. It's almost on top of the line.
I could see some less confident drivers - or morons - simply making a wide right-hand turn into those spots. It wouldn't be possible on narrower roads with a median, but you could definitely perform that stunt on the road in the example. Also a very popular move at Trader Joe's in University when the driver sees an open spot, but is are approaching from the wrong direction. Then you wait until said driver performs their best impersonation of Austin Powers as they take 6 attempts to straighten it up.
(A direct consequence of giving-out driver's licenses to anyone who shows-up with 3 collectible coupons from their cereal box, but I digress)

That's funny but actually a good point. Sheriff's have tag reading cameras just for places like parking lots. They troll for stolen cars and outstanding warrants.
This concept would worry me if I had a new car and lived there as backup skills seem to be a bit lacking in this city. I think the transit people with this idea should have gone to Harris Teeter where there are places to parallel park, and then watch the soccer moms in minivans and huge SUVs attempt it. LOL
It would have been better and less confusing had they just flipped those spaces onto the other angle like they do in 99.999% of the cases where this is needed.
Luckily, they put this in the part of town with a lot of smart people. I've seen no problems... A smashing success.
