Looking to potentially move the Ballantyne area. However, not necessarily on golf course. Looking for upscale neighborhood that's diverse (if possible). Would prefer acre lot if possible. Any suggestions? Also interested in top private schools in the area? Also willing to look at good public schools.
Thanks

If you are going to live in ballantyne , don't need to worry about private schools. All the schools here are great.

Visit greatschools website and put zip code 28277.

We live in the heart of ballantyne.

Default ballantyne School

Thanks. Any suggestions on neighborhoods. Looking for larger home (6,000+ sqft) on an acre preferably.

I'd suggest you look at Marvin. Get a good agent who knows the area.

Here is the school report card site: ABCs
Some of my clients have also used this one: GreatSchools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community

What ages are your children -- so we can provide you a list of which schools might apply (Elementary, Middle or High Schools)?

Best of luck to you in your relocation!

Check out Highgrove in Ballantyne if you want that area. I also agree with the Marvin suggestion. Most of the nicer private schools are off Providence and Sardis Roads inside of 485. If you live in Ballantyne or Union Co. you probably won't need private schools. If you're looking for larger lots and large sq ft you may want to look further south of Ballantyne in neighborhoods like Walden on Providence and Providence Downs.

The Ballantyne Area is a great place to live. My family has lived in the area before Ballantyne was brought about. We have one CMS graduate and another high schooler. CMS has prepared them very well for the next level. Finding a larger parcel of land can be a challenge in the immediate Ballantyne area, but as was stated in a previous post, Union County, has more possiblities (Providence Downs & Providence Downs South, Walden, Marvin Creek, etc). You'll find to that over the years that part of Union County has blended into Mecklenburg / Charlotte and we are really a seamless community. Different schools, tax basis, etc. but still the same desires for a particular quality of life for our families. We shop at the same places, go to the same YMCA and churches.

For a house that big on a larger lot you will want to look at Providence Downs, Walden, PDS. Be aware that acre lots are harder to come by in neighborhoods.
Good luck!
