This is not true in my neighborhood. My road can't be a mile long, but there are 5 bus stops on it. Maybe that is true for the older kids. But for the elementary kids on my street, the bus stops are every 5 houses or so.

Hi LL,

I also said:
"The amount of traffic on any given road is the deciding point on providing transportation for a student regardless of where they live in relation to the school or the bus stop"

I probably should have added " and safety concerns" to the bold part above. Sorry!
It is my understanding there are several factors involved in selecting stops, including a personal visit to the site by the area transportation specialist before a stop is eliminated or added to a route.
