Need to buy a Lawn Mower and wondered if there were any small shops or local businesses I could use. Small yard, push mower but I need it to mulch leaves.

Not trying to spend more than $250 to $300....

There is a shop like this on Popular Tent Rd between Cox Mill Rd. & Harris Rd. This guy apparently rebuilds older mowers and then sells them. There are usually some on display on the road every time I pass through there. Unfortunately I don't know the name.

Try pawn shops, if you don't mind cashing in on the shattered dreams and broken lives of the less fortunate.

I have bargained some good deals on tools and hardware.

Went this route once and will never do it again. Bought a Craftsman at Sears and have had it now for 10 years with no problems. They typically have sales.

In the 250-300 range you might as well stick with Home Depot or Lowe's. If you want one to last forever, go ahead and drop about $1000. I have absolutely no regrets about my $800 mower or my $4000 mower. And I now a LOT of grass and have no issues at all.
