Hello all,

I've been searching, but cannot seem to find a flexible schedule job working in a call center or office setting. The only flexible jobs I can find are retail jobs, but they don't pay that great, and also I'm tired of retail. Does anyone know of any call center jobs in Charlotte, NC that you can pick your own 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedule, OR is flexible with scheduling? I'm looking for Data Entry, receptionist, office clerk, taking or making calls as a customer service rep, ANYTHING that has to do with sitting at a desk in front of a computer is what I'm looking for. I have lots of customer service, data entry, 10-key, and computer experience. If you know of a company, PLEASE let me know. It will make staying in school so much easier if I found a job that's flexible. Thanks lots!

I just saw on Craigslist where Connextions is having a job fair tomorrow and Thursday. It's in the customer service section. I don't know anything about them. Maybe this will help.

Good luck finding a flex schedule for a call center. Those places are run by workforce management freaks and they are pretty rigid with their times.

The best you can probably get is one that changes hours once every 6 months.

They also have a selection of qualified applicants in a collapsing job market. Having demands for such a position is like asking to be unemployed.. Grad students flock to these jobs and will work for entry-level pay.

P.S. Dell in Tennessee and online virtual agent agencies are the only ones I know of around here. Call centers are almost entirely outsourced these days, and it's more efficient to use agencies who can pass the savings of over-seas labor. In support markets it's mostly India and Arab nations.

Darn, what a shame. But I won't give up that easily. I'm still searching. I just really don't want to quit school, but at the same time, I have to pay bills. It's a very complicated situation.... especially being that my school doesn't have flexible schedules for many of the classes I need. Well, thanks for the help guys. If anyone else wants to respond, please do so.

I can't endorse but I have heard that Red Venture is a good place to work. At least worth looking into.
