Just as the topi said, i lived in providence downs and would like to extend our driveway further back and fence the back yard. I already had approval from HOA, just wondering if we need some sort of permit from union county for that?? thanks in advance for the response

Check with your county (Union?). They may have a rule that "non permeable area" may not be any closer to your property line than "X" number of feet. (I thought it was two feet at some point). I don't think there's any permitting, since it's not a building or foundation.

For a fence, it's just your HOA. No county approvals are needed.

You should contact Union County directly to avoid costly mistakes, if there are any to be made...

General rule of thumb is any concrete poured etc would need a permit.

A regular fence on your property should not need anything.
