Did you find a link to the policy or something thicker than the OP link? Not that there was an OP link.
Looked a little bit for the actual policy, but couldn't find it. The National Anthem thing was mentioned in the video in this link, where they did also mention the ban included warmups, pep rallies and halftime - http://news.yahoo.com/video/hundreds...034105944.html

Like locking all secondary outside doors during the school day.
"Policy" is approved by the board of education. This is not a policy. School administrators have described it as a "guideline." The deputy superintendent confirmed in an email to me that the rule covers all music at all sporting events including warmups and halftimes and also confirmed that the rule is now extended to pep rallies and competitions. The official statement from the school administration to the media does not contradict what has been publicized.
I support this decision since I feel that most popular songs/lyrics are written by people who must be high and/or sick minded.
Unfortunately many of our kids follow these lyrics like gospel, at young age their little experience is formed by their exposure to media.
It is our duty as parents and educators to protect them from harm's way until they are mature enough to differentiate and make their own decisions.
