I see your point. Well for starters Its rare that I go north along i85 towards Raleigh unless i go to Nyc but i always fly anyways. My mom stays in Raleigh and normally has to beg me to come visit. Its not bc I dont want to see her, or downgradeing Raleigh, its just I hate the drive there lol. Its boreing but trees and lil towns along the way but Greensboro. Most times i forgot its there bc im speeding thru. Now I just take the train. Rual areas are nice for some people I just prefer not to go back. Grew up In Goldsboro and man was it boreing and ghetto. Train=fall asleep=miss rual areas driving= Arive at destination lol. So I support rail to Atl and other areas.

I think both cities would benefit greatly. For Charlotte it gives us greater access to promote ourselves as being connected to the powerhouse of the South while for Atlanta it gives them access to easy get aways. Some might laugh at the last point, but I've been amazed at how many people from Atlanta I've met who come to Charlotte for weekend jaunts. Most come for the weekend in the "quieter and quaint city".
