Urgently looking for a skilled, resourceful, organized and reliable contractor / handyman with good supply sources to do a thorough reno of a kitchen and baths.

I have ideas and know how to draw, so don't need a team of interior designers paid by the hour. Just need someone with foresight and common sense, to be able to follow the action plan and advise me on the technical parts (e.g., structural integrity, issues with moving the pipes, pointing out areas needing special attention, and the like).

Any leads would be immensely appreciated.

I do not think one person would be suffice for your project... you may need a carpenter, an electrician, a plumber, so on...
To save money and get a good start, I would recommend to use Home Depot / Lowes FREE design services. Provide them the measurements and they will build the kitchen/bath plan for you (get a hardcopy printed). Good luck!

I would pay to use Angie's list and thoroughly check them out. But no personal recommendations, sorry and good luck.

Do what other smart people do, go to construction sites where skilled workers are on-site and ask for names. Most Charlotte and surrounding area contractors have talented carpenters, plumbers, roofers, framers, engineers, and inspectors on speed dial for sub-contracting..

Tip: Look for ones with the last name Dellinger, they are highly respected and are on top of residential contracting in the area for a reason..
