I have lived in Cornelius for 10 years, and I have seen the community grow a lot. There are the two congregations that the PP mentioned and one in Statesville called Congregation Emanuel.

They are building houses all over Mooresville. It really depends on what you are looking for.

The only Jewish congregation in the Lake Norman area that acutally has its own building is Congregation Emanuel in Statesville. It is a very old, really neat synagogue. The other two congregations (one of whice we belong to and love) meet in local churches as they continue to grow.

I have lived in the Lake Norman area (Cornelius) for almost 12 years, and my parents have lived in Mooresville for just as long, and we have seen the Jewish community grow tremendously. I would be happy to answer any specific questions you might have!

Good luck!
