Where can a course in basic first aid and emergency response be taken in Charlotte?

Any recommendations?

Thank you.

This is somewhat of a surprise. I would have thought the Red Cross would lead the way, since first aid is basic knowledge when one is in a situation where there are injuries that could be mitigated because someone knows basic first aid. Treatment could begin until first responders or rescuers could arrive.

Of course, enter the trial attorneys who would look for flaws in training or application of the training. I wonder if the Red Cross and other organizations decided that the potential liability was too much to manage.

If nothing else, there is basic information on the web. For instance, this might help with some basic information Online CPR Certification and First Aid Certification - Introduction

Also, check with the Safety and Health Council of NC. They cater toward industry, which would include training people in basic first aid. The organization located here in Charlotte near Billy Graham Parkway.
