Because it's within walking distance of where I work, and I like to walk during my lunch break.
This kind of thing isn't exclusive to Mecklenburg Co, or anywhere . It happens everywhere, and to think that it doesn't is quite a bit naive of you. I've lived in big cities and small towns, and I grew up in the boondocks. It happened everywhere.
