I am considering, but not enamored with new or newer construction. However, two developments in MH caught my eye: deerfield and riverview. Deerfield appears to be a little nicer (homes are less fungible), but riverview is closer to I-85 and more convienent.

Has anyone had experience with either subdivision? All things being equal, which subdivision is better?

Do you mean Riverfront in MH? Riverview is in Lowell.

They're both nice neighborhoods - just different. Riverfront has amenities - swimming pool, clubhouse, walking trails, etc. plus the added bonus of being close to I-85 and on the river. A marina is supposed to be going in there too.
Deerfield has larger lots and is in a more rural area.

I don't think you could go wrong with either neighborhood! Let me know if you have any more questions.
