Where are the best places to purchase high-quality, reasonably priced furniture in the Charlotte area? I like many things in the styles seen at Crate and Barrel, but I do not like the prices they offer. Now that i'm a grownup, I'd prefer to stay away from Ikea for large things.

Charlotte Furniture, Quality Furniture Store Charlotte NC, Sofas, Bedrooms, Leather Furniture | Tyndall Furniture Galleries

I just bought some furniture at Tyndall Furniture at their Indian Land store yesterday (behind Showmars). Beautiful furniture, great experience.

My dad drove out to Hickory with a 24 hour rental truck and shopped there. His sofa, tables and hutch are reminiscent of Crate and Barrel. There's also a row of furniture stores in Pineville across to the side of Carolina place mall. Lastly, there's a chain of consignment stores that has great furniture for less. And in excellent condition.

I'm a grown up and like Ikea. I didn't know it wasn't for grown ups.

Look at S & G & Biggerstaff in Gastonia. They're both on Franklin Blvd (US 74).

Goods has great furniture, but really terrible customer service. I ordered furniture, paid for it, and waited for them to call to give me updates on when it was coming. After a month I started calling every couple of days to get a status, they said they'd look into it and call me back. Never did. After eight weeks I finally stopped by the showroom again to ask about the furniture. Oh, it was in their warehouse, had been for a week. Did I want it delivered?

Then I got to watch their delivery guys drop it on my driveway, putting a dent in the front of the dresser. I called them, and they said not to accept delivery. Then it took them over a week to get the dresser back off the truck and look at it to decide whether they should order a new one or fix that one. I finally got a fixed dresser back 5 weeks after the first aborted delivery.

I have ordered furniture from Bassett, Black Lion, and Haverty's and all have much, much better customer service. The really strange thing is even though Haverty's has the least expensive furniture, they have incredible customer service.

Default Merinos furniture Mooresville

You might try Merinos furniture.Huge place in the old mill-still expanding it. Allow a few hours! Prices are good and I think they have something for everyone.

Been looking for furniture as well. Saw Furniture Connector online...haven't been there but looks like a good bet.
