There is a good possiblity we may be relocated to Charlotte. My husband and I have lived in SE Michigan all of our lives. We live in a rural area on 3 acres. Major stores are 15 minutes away. We would like to continue to live in similar setting. We have children, so schools are important to us. I am looking to try to stay within 30 - 40 minutes of Charlotte.

From reading the other threads, it looks like south of Charlotte may be a closer fit, but I would like to hear from others on this and if you could list some specific cities/school districts I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Interesting.....I don't have enough info to help you see what is a good fit (in this thread anyway) however, much of Charlotte will fit this bill. I'm from Michigan as well so if you could describe in greater detail where you are now we may be able to find something similar here, except the snow.

Much of the information for relo clients initially stems from where they will work, how much the bank has pre-approved them to purchase (as well as how much they are comfortable spending) and schools.

School Info here & here

We have friends that live in Denver, NC and it is sort of like that. They're not far from North Lake Mall, the Whitewater Center, etc. but they are definitely out in the country.
