Hey,

Thanks to helpful posters on charlotte forum, I learnt installing HVAC is key. Can you please recommend some of the HVAC installers with whom you had positive experience?

Thanks,

Hope you get some names. Based on my experience, almost all are crooked as a stick. I dread the day my a/c dies.

You need to verify that what they say is worn out IS worn out. 2 different places(the most well known AC repair places in charlotte) told me my compressor was worn out 7 years ago. Funny that I fixed the thing myself and it has worked great since then and Im just a novice do it yourself kind of guy.Ac is not rocket science and all of them work the same way. The repair shops just want you to think it is rocket science.

We've been very very happy with McClintock Heating and Cooling (704-321-5207). They are prompt and courteous, not the cheapest but fair on their pricing.

This is who I was going to suggest. I've been very happy with them for a number of years. The same person always comes to our house, even after we moved, and he is honest and will help us out (like telling us that we over mulched around the A/C). I really appreciate how honest they are.

Been very happy with Andersen. Our A/C unit got destroyed two weeks ago when a car hit our house. This was around 3:00 in the afternoon. Andersen had someone out there at 7:00 PM that night to assess the damage, and we had a brand new unit installed about 36 hours later.

We also used Quality Comfort from Matthews for a full new HVAC system. They came in the lowest of 5 bids and I was very happy with the work they did.

The charged me $590 to put in 3 pounds of freon. If I see them on my property again, they'll have an ass full of buck shot!
