Live Turkeys? (Charlotte, Salisbury, Monroe: mountains, family, county)

Good Morning to all,

Does anyone know of a place where I could purchase a live turkey for Thanksgiving, something like a poultry farm or something where you pick the turkey and then they will kill it and clean it for you. Looking for a place somewhere around Charlotte.

LOL. I agree. I'd never be able to eat meat again. As a matter of fact, I'm so turned off from meat these days, when I do eat it, my husband can't stand it b/c I'm constantly apologizing.....to my food

Union County is a major producer of poultry. There is a major Tyson plant between Monroe and Wingate on Hwy 74. If you don't need to meet the turkey up close and personal, I highly recommend Stegall's Smoked Turkey in Marshville:
