This question is about Local Channels on tv. Do you have to get a plan in Charlotte to watch the local channels?

I'm not sure what you do if you have cable. When we lived in CLT we had Direct TV and had all the local channels.

When we use to have cable and now have Direct TV, and neither time did we have to get it separately.

I have direct tv and local channels are now part of the basic package. I do not pay any extra for them.

I'm sorry, I worded my question wrong.

I'm cheap, and I didn't want to get DirecTV or Dish Network. Here, if you have an antenna you can pick up all the local channels. I didn't know if it was the same way in Charlotte.

My son is a poor college student and he can get 3 of the 5 local channels pretty well with just an antenna.
