The Police still have seats left after 2 hours. Bad seats, but at least you can get in. It's a young city here!

I think it is more of a suburbia yuppy type area of families with children than people who would go to a Police concert, especially on Thursday. Charlotte rarely gets any good weekend dates for big name concerts due to Atl and DC being in the region.

Good point on us never getting weekend dates- I never thought about the scheduling to that extent. I had to work to convince DH that he could manage a weeknight concert.

Well, the Bobcats are looking to outsource their concert booking and it would likely be to Live Nation, who operate VWA in an attempt to get more concerts at the CBA. Even VWA hardly gets good weekend concerts though. Ozzfest, dave Matthews Band, Warped Tour, Rush, and many more big concerts have unfortunately been on weeknights. I had free tickets in the 5th row for Rush but didnt go because it was on a Monday. I probably would have went if it was at CBA though. It's easier to access as far as driving, parking, and much closer to my house and takes a lot less time to get out of.

Yes, CBA will be much easier access, less traffic and quicker to get home. Seems like Tom Petty last year was on a Friday - that was a nice 'get' for VWA. But getting in and out was a nightmare - at least 1.5 hours each way.

Well, if the schools are overcrowded that might be an inkling that there are tons of kids.

I personally do not have a child who likes the hannah montana empire, thank goodness.

Wait until High School Musical comes that's the next mass following.

You can be my suburban yuppy. These are people who have way to much $$ to spend. What happened to the circus.

Have you seen the resale prices on Hannah Montana tickets? I think a lot of the tickets went to the greedy people who just want to "scalp" 'em at a profit.

I found some in the section we got on line for $343! I paid $56!
