Have you received any recommendations from other sources? I need repair work done, too. Thanks!

No, I have no information yet. Fireside Hearth & Home has been here three times to repair this fireplace (when it was still covered under warranty) but since it never worked properly following any of those service calls, I would like to try someone else this time.

Good luck. And I don't mean that sarcastically....truly I mean good luck.

I went bought my set from a place in Rutherfordton (Gas Logs and udder Things) and worked correctly for all of about 5 months. Still haven't gotten them fixed. Ordered parts from the manufacturer and found someone to try and help but no one was able to fix them. Shame really, I paid over a grand for these things, remote and all. I think the cheap one's from Lowe's are the wa to go and just replace them when they break.

If you do get someone who seems competent and actually interested in helping you, let me know. I'd love some help with mine.

Do you need a gas piping guy? Clark's Gas Piping gave us excellent service, but we ended up having to replace our logs. They were 11 years old, though.

I have the best guy ever to work on gas logs (gas logs is all he does)!!!! I have any outdoor gas fireplace and I hired two different companies to come out to work on it and no one could find the problem. The Firehouse Casual Living recommended Mark Summers to me and he was wonderful!!! He was prompt to return my phone call, came out within an hour, found the problem and repaired it. He also worked on my indoor gas logs too. Great price too!!

Stupid question: I have a gas fireplace and wished that it showed "more flame" or looked more realistic. How do I do this?

Are your fireplace logs the unvented type? Our unvented logs are mostly blue flame and while nice don't look like the real deal. I understand this prevents unwanted byproducts from filling the room, but would also be interested if anyone has this type of gas logs that have natural looking flames.
