I'm moving to Charlotte and I've narrowed down my search to a few complexes. A little background- I'm a young professional who will be working close to Mint Hill. I would like to live in an area with other young people and an area that's safe. I only have a budget of $750-$850 a month.

1. Marquis of Carmel Valley
2. Legacy Arboretum
3. Bexley at Spring Farms
4. Camden Foxcroft
5. Marquis of Carmel Commons

Any info on these apartments would be greatly appreciated!!

The area Carmel and arboretum are safe but I wouldn't say they are full of young professionals but it is very family oriented/suburbs. And they are mixed in with young professionals. I say Camden is more up your alley based on this and your other post.

As for the apartment themselves, I heard good things about Camden and Marquis. I haven't heard of the others but just know the area is fine to live in.

When I read the reviews I generally shrug off the complaints about "rude staff" as a personality conflict. The reviews are full of various whiners and drama queens but if several people are all commenting on the same problem then I give it more credibility.

My husband and I visited both Marquis of Carmel Commons and Marquis of Carmel Valley a few weeks ago. They are sister properties and right across the street from each other. Carmel Commons is a bit nicer than Carmel Valley in our opinion. We visited over 10 different apartment complexes and will be moving to Carmel Commons this fall.

Oh and as for young people - I'm not sure about everyone else there, but we are 27 and 31.
