But that is if you were in meck county.... Were you in SC or NC?
Called him already. He does not do Union County. I have been assigned to Monroe district court. Called a bunch of lawyers and the cheapest i can find was $150 lawyer fee and $264-$318 for Improper Equipment instead of a speeding ticket. No points on my license and changed to a non moving violation.

Worth the money.

Don't have to take a day off from work to appear either.

It is still cheaper than going through the 3 year insurance penalty.

I repeat - call the Safety and Health Council to see if you have options through them. You can avoid a lawyer and save some money because this way gets you a PJC - in other words you pay the court cost and cost of the class. All in all, about $250 out of pocket.

If you are charged with more than 15mph over the speed limit at 55, then I do not believe you are eligible for a pre-hearing POJ in NC. You are required to go to court.

Well worth it to get the improper equipment charge reduction
