I was wondering if anyone knows of any affordable places to get a good cut and color done in Charlotte?

Thanks!

This lady does it and has a $10 off coupon.

Hair Care Services - Women, Men & Children (broken link)

I do not think I should put a link in here but this is for a coupon you can use.

Modern Salon and Spa has very talented people at different price points depending on their length of experience.

The Hair Styling Institute of Charlotte is on Kings Dr across the street from the new Target. Mens cuts are $5.25. I go there from time to time and have been pleased with my haircuts. The instructor always checks out the cut when the student is finished.

Yikes! Ask for the price first. If I remember correctly 210.00 without tip highlites and a trim, shoulder length hair. Heather.

A funny note for everyone.

After searching for about 9 months for a good stylist I finally found one. A gal at work recommended her. About 3 months before that I had gotten the worst hair cut, it was so bad that I nearly cried every morning while trying to syle it and it just couldn't have grown fast enough. So my thought was I will see what the new gal could do, she was morified by the previous cut and said it would take 1 to 2 more cuts to fix, depending on how much I wanted to whack off. Well, she did a great job so about 2 months later I decided she was good enough to color my hair.

Now, I come from California and apparently hair terms change from coast to coast. I called the salon and said I wanted to make an appointment for a trim and a weave. Their reply was that they didn't do weave's. Now, the gal I work with had just gotten one and she looked great! I said you know, I want my hair highlighted, a partial weave. Once again, we don't do weaves. I said you don't color hair? Complete laughter on the other end as they thought I wanted braided hair extentions! NO, colored highlight's! I was laughing so hard.

Of course when I went in my hairdresser was hysterical. Be careful what you ask for.
