Hello,
I realize that I am not in the West anymore but I was wondering if there are any saloons with dance floor that play live country music in the greater Charlotte area.
Double Door Inn near CPCC uptown, Coyote Joe's (not to be confused with Coyote Ugly), Puckett's Farm Equipment. Creative Loafing Charlotte is very helpful or pick a free copy up almost anywhere in Charlotte.
Coyote Joe's is real fun. There's a huge dance floor, mutiple bars, and a mechanical bull. It's usually crowded though, dont even bother on concert nights.

Forget this. You DO want to go there on concert nights. We saw Miranda Lambert last week for $15! It was a great time. You should check out their website.
And I bet it was crowded as hell and it took 15 minutes to get 1 drink from the bar.
Dont get my wrong Coyote Joes is great, its just concert nights can get a little too crowded for my liking.
Glad I seen this Thread. We just moved to NC a month ago and was wondering if there was any Saloons/Dance Halls anywhere in the Charlotte area. The wife and I spent years in pro-rodeo and still like to hear some good C/W music at times.
My question: Do people come to this place wearing the Resistol hats,
Lace-Up Ropers and Wrangler jeans?

Thanks for the info everyone, great to hear that they have good live acts!
I was wondering the same thing as LoveBoating. What is the crowd like? I looked at the pictures October 6th, 2007 (1-2-3 night) (broken link) and most of the people seems to be college-aged and wear baseball caps instead of cowboy hats.
