DH and I just went under contract for a 1998 home. We love evrythign about this property and want to make this our new home..but before all that I wanted the house to pass inspection.
We are looking for:
1. experienced inspectors who specialize in older homes (if you call 15 years old!)
2. also, is there any specific level of inspection available for older homes or all homes undergo same type of inspection?
Any pointers is highly appreciated and we Thank all for their inputs :-)
I used Inspector Paul for a roofing issue that I had last year:

ASHI-Certified-244121, Certified Master Inspector
ACAC-Certified Indoor Environmentalist-2080, PAHI-President
Thanks all for providign me with names - I did call each one of them.. but most could not give me a date earlier than 8/31.
Thanks 'mewith3' we did work with Marion Greiner from Carolina Preferred Home Inspections as they could fit us in earlier than 8/31. At first, it was an unpleasant surprise as Marion did NOT come for the inspection but another elederly guy - Dan came.
However, after the whole inspection, I must admit Dan is great too. Later in the afternoon Marion did come and re-checked everything.
Overall experience of workign with Carolina Preferred Home Inspections was great! Both Dan and Marion were great guys with an eye for detail.
Thanks to all who helped me with this :-)
