We'll this post kind of interested me. I am new to North Carolina, but I am originally from the South, 2/3 of my life have been somewhere in the South. I have to say part of the reason I moved back was because I missed some of the Southern ways. That is not to say I didn't like the folks where I moved from. One of the things I like most about Charlotte is I can have it all here. There are Southern folks that I missed and all the other folks from all over the country that bring something different as well. There are good and bad people everywhere. I find it hard to understand when people have to have everyone around them be just like them. We can all learn from each other. We can still have our own values and beliefs and respect other folks values as well. I see nothing wrong when folks miss something they liked about a place they moved from and would like to see whatever it may be be incorporated here. With a rapidly growing city you are going to have problems and growing pains. I can see where folks that were here orignally get sad to see the change, but that is life on this planet we live on. Change is the one constant we can count on. Obviously when all the transplants moved here they knew they would have to adjust to a different way of life as well. It's a change for all of us. We all need to learn to get along with each other and imbrace the things we have in common and learn new things from each other
