Oh another thought ...look into the restaurants at Metropolitan. On a nice night, sitting outside, with a view of the city and the greenway it is really lovely. I believe there is a Hickory Tavern there that would satisfy the desire for burgers or La Paz has also relocated there if they prefer spanish/mexican. Right next to it is an interesting sculpture - a big reflective globe that makes for fun photos.

Can you tell to make it feel special I keep wanting to include a little "extra."

Default Sweet 16 Restaurant

Thank you all so much. I didn't get back on this site after the first few responses, so I didn't see many of them before we left. We wound up at Cowfish. It was a big hit with some (my daughter loves sushi and Cowfish) and a few couldn't find a single edible dish on the menu and ordered from the kids menu. LOL. They loved the atmosphere, the fountain (for photos), walking the area, etc. I'm grateful for all of the suggestions and am starting a list of recommended restaurants! We have lived in Charlotte for only a year and live in Union County. So, we still don't know much about other areas. We are always looking for somewhere good to eat. Now I have lots of recommendations. So, thanks so much everyone.

Glad that they enjoyed it, that was the most important aspect.
